When the house falls silent but for the ticking of the grandfather clock in the hall, down the staircase I creep to finish just one more chapter. Except, it’s never just one more of course.
When I open the door to that new world (for what are books but doors to the imagination?) I find myself entranced by the story, so many stories…and so starts the first of what I hope will be many blogs about my passion: reading and books and all things bookish!

This evening’s full moon in Sagittarius is known as a ‘Blue’ moon, as it marks the second full moon in a single lunar cycle (a rarity). These night sky ponderings put me in mind of one of my favourite reads of last year: ‘Orbital’ by Samantha Harvey - did you read it? It won the Booker Prize 2024, and for good reason in my opinion.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
